“The Bali Volunteer House Fundraiser”

On the 17th of July 2009, approximately 200 people from Sydney’s northern beaches along with the surf and fashion industries, came together to raise money at an auction style dinner for the“Bali Volunteer House”. The night was a huge success and everybody had an incredible time, not to mention the overwhelming amount of generosity.

Adam Blakey hosted the auction where local businesses, restaurants and surf and fashion labels banded together to show their support. The Good Guys Chatswood in conjunction with LG provided a 42 inch plasma which saw bidding reach amazing heights. Local surfing legends Tom Carroll and Luke Stedman, along with football legends Andrew Johns and Manly’s Josh Perry, teamed up with Sydney cult surf/punk band The Goons of Doom to auction themselves off which created a bidding war frenzy!!!

The night raised a whopping $30,000 for the “Bali Volunteer House”.

Newcastle band Benjalu kicked off the evening with their cruisy upbeat tunes and local Avalon band "Nothing Too Serious" had the dance floor rocking after Flare Catering provided an awesome 3 course meal not to mention the endless supply of free flowing booze.

The night raised a whopping $30,000 for the “Bali Volunteer House”. Everyone who took part can be proud of themselves

Thank you for making a difference.
