There are two options. We prefer volunteers to stay onsite in our special room at the Orphanage. This provides an opportunity to form a bond with the children and get the most out of the experience.
OPTION ONE
You would be asked to participate/run afternoon activities
Suggestions - Cooking, Craft and Art, English
We encourage you to come up with your own ideas for afternoon activities that utilise your skills.
A member of staff will be available to assist you and help with translating, however you must be confident to run the activities on your own.
Costs involved
Volunteers fees are $30 USD per night. All money goes to the running of this program.
You will be met at the airport by one of our staff. Accommodation is onsite in a share room sleeping sleeping a maximum of three people. It is newly built, air conditioned with a western toilet and shower.
We provide three meals per day and internet access is available.
At the end of your stay, a member of staff will take you to the airport.
If you are interested, please contact Roslyn Seale at r.seale@westnet.com.au or ring Perth Australia on 0893849561
OPTION TWO
If you are short on time, we offer an "afternoon visit" program. One of the staff and several of the children drive and then join you on a trip to "Macro" where you can purchase foods such as fruit and veg, chicken and meat, egg and cheese, all foods that the kids dont get enough of and are desperate need of. Macro is a bulk buy discount store so even $50 goes a long way!!!! These types of visits are what make the orphanage work at meal time and are greatly appreciated. Spend the afternoon with the kids after shopping and let them show you around. You may even meet a child you would like to sponsor for their school costs to assist with their education.
Afternoon food shop visits are done every Friday at 3pm, however we will try to assist you if this time does not suit.
If you are interested in an afternoon food shop visit please contact Aries on yeningtawangonolintang@gmail.com

Note: All volunteers must plan and put together their own educational programs/lessons and submit them for pre approval to r.seale@westnet.com.au Lessons/programs will run everyday after school between study and tea time and should run for approx 2 hours. (1 hour for the under 12’s and the second hour for the under 19’s/over 12’s)
